Andre Mühling, born in 1984 on the North Rhine-Westphalian / Lower Saxony border, came into contact with graffiti for the first time in the late 1990s, which in the same breath brought photography with it, but played a secondary role at a young age. Over the years the priorities changed so that photography became more and more present. Especially the documentary work, as well as the street photography pulled him under his spell until he finally decided in 2016 to turn this passion into a vocation.
His photographs mainly consist of situations from everyday life, never posed, never glossed over, but always direct and honest with a touch of irony.
“The attraction of always discovering new things, be it places that are not accessible to everyone or just small phrases written on facades, still make up a large part of my motivation, as well as the attention to detail. I often wonder how blind people walk through life and not perceive their environment, that's how I never wanted to be. "
He is currently working on the planning of his first illustrated book by documenting the subcultures and parallel societies of today.
